PAT Testing London & Kent

What is PAT testing?

PAT testing is for appliances in premises and workspaces such as working homes, offices, commercial buildings, building sites, schools, doctors buildings, hospitals, restaurants, public sectors, and so on.
A complete PAT test involves a visual inspection of all appliances that require a test using specialised equipment appropriate for this procedure. Some appliances will only need a reduced test which will be required and this is also known as an insulation test.
What test do we do?
  • Earth continuity
  • Polarity
  • Insulation resistance
  • Fuse inspection ( and replacement if need be)
  • Visual inspection of equipment
  • Visual inspection of cables/wires ( and replacement if need be )
What appliances need testing?
  • IT appliances
  • Fixed appliances
  • Movable appliances
  • Charging equipment
  • Kitchen accessories/appliances
  • Cleaning appliances
  • Portable appliances
  • Portable lighting equipment
  • Extension leads
  • All cables for the above
All appliances will be marked with a PASS or FAIL sticker and a record of the appliances and their results for equipment. The owner/tenant of the building and its equipment will be provided with the results for their own record.
